Ghost in the House!

Lots of people don't believe in ghosts, specters, spirits, what have you. I would have put myself into the same category until this past week. When things in your house happen that have no explanation, you start to question your scientific mind and wonder maybe there are ghosts.

In my particular situation my grandmother had just passed. I believe she was the one haunting me but we'll get to more of that later.

So this is what happened...

First, I woke up in the middle of the night around 3 or 4 in the morning and smelled chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies. It was if my grandma was baking like she did in real life.

The next night is when things got out of control. It was a hot day, and I had closed the drapes to my front window in the middle of the day to keep the sun out. I laid down to go to sleep and started hearing sounds of foot steps moving in my room. Then the closet door handle started to shake back and forth as if someone was trying to turn the knob and open the closet. After that I heard a deep breathing sound on top of me as if someone was standing over me while I was in bed.

The whole time this was going on I was unnerved, but not afraid as the energy from the specter felt positive and not evil.

Then the kicker...when I got up in the morning, the drapes were spread wide open! That's right, either I suddenly developed a sleepwalking habit and decided to take a look through the drapes at night, or something else opened them. When I realized the drapes had been opened I seriously freaked out. But then I called my uncle.

My uncle is not a warlock. But his mother could be described as a witch. She has powers that are unexplainable and the stories of things she has done are endless. So even though my uncle doesn't share the same powers, he knows about them and what to do.

He was the one that mentioned the ghost was most likely my recently past grandma. He said she was there for one of two reasons. She was either trying to give me a message, or take me with her to the other side.

When he told me this I started shivering. Then he explained that no ghost can take or kill you unless you are willing to go with them; I certainly was not.

But what to do about a presence that causes unrest in the house?  There are three ways you can remove a spirit short of an exorcism.

1. Confront the ghost when you feel the presence and tell the ghost you are NOT going with it, and that it needs to leave for good.

2. Light a candle before bed and say 3 Hail Mary's and 3 Our Father's and then ask the ghost not to return.

3. Put a Mexican herb underneath your pillow. I don't know which herb so this one is not very helpful.

So if you have a spirit that haunts you, try one of the two ways to remove them and let me know what happens. It's a bizarre world and just because you may be a scientist doesn't mean you can explain the unexplainable.
